Psychology Sessions via Telehealth
In addition to face to face appointments, I offer Telehealth appointments. Telehealth appointments those that are conducted via videoconferencing software. I use a secure web-based service called Coviu, which is designed for use by health care professionals. If you are interested in learning more about Coviu you can read about it on their website (https://www.coviu.com/en-au/).
Telehealth sessions are suitable for people who:
- want to see me but find it difficult to travel to see me
- are unwell on the day of their appointment
- are parents
- have a difficult work schedule or travel frequently
It is important to know that:
- I do not offer appointments via phone apart from an initial introductory call.
- Telehealth sessions are not appropriate for everyone. If you try telehealth and find that you do not like it that is okay and we can discuss where to go from there.
- If you are eligible for Medicare rebates then these rebates can still be claimed for telehealth sessions.
- It can take a few minutes to log in for a telehealth appointment using Coviu, particularly the first time. I suggest getting ready at least 5 minutes before the scheduled start time of the appointment.
- With the Coviu software link that I use, the appointment link will be the same for every appointment. Meaning that I will send you the appointment link once prior to the first appointment and then you use the same link each time from there. If you lose the link you can contact me and I will resend it.
